This unique site of Paro, touching the river, is envisaged as a resort intricately designed for the growing tourism in Bhutan.
The river provides for an exotic experience and acts as a driver for the design process to unfold. Arrayed along the hill slopes the individual suites are conceptualised as ‘rammed earth’ and wood out-crops that merge into the ‘Forest’. The Architecture embraces traditional building techniques, whilst innovating them in a contemporary avatar. The approach is to provide complete comfort and opulence consciously; hence inventing the paradigm of ‘Responsible Luxury’.
